Most Romantic Restaurant in Austin to Eat Local
At The Austin Artisan, we value the beauty that comes with eating seasonal, local foods. That is why there is a soft spot in our hearts for restaurants like Lenoir. Created with the intention of highlighting local foods from sustainable sources, you might find anything on their menu, from summer succotash to pepita cookies. But not only does Lenoir get an A+ for creative use of organic, locally grown ingredients, but the ambiance is to die for. From walls draped with heirloom lace to a cacophony of lanterns hanging from walls, you will find yourself immersed in a dreamy foodie world.
Tick this Austin Favorite Off The Bucket List
Siena Ristorante Toscana has been proclaimed Austin’s most romantic restaurant for many years for a good reason. The fine-dining establishment is a true getaway, with its beautiful ambiance complete with fireplace, dreamy chandelier, and bistro lights. The menu itself is inspired by Chef Harvey Harris’ adventures in Italy and features classic Tuscan dishes perfect for anniversaries or Valentine’s Day and beyond.

This Austin Favorite is a Classic Destination for Steak and Seafood
No list of romantic restaurants in Austin would be complete without a traditional steak dinner, and for our list, we chose Eddie V’s Prime Seafood. With spectacular ratings and over 2,000 reviews on TripAdvisor, it is no wonder the restaurant won its coveted 2020 Traveler’s Choice award. Customer after customer raves about the fresh, delicious seafood, the steaks cooked to perfection, and the waitstaff service that is right on point. Be sure to end your meal with their fiery Bananas Foster; we’re pretty sure it’s worthy of “going bananas” over (sorry, we had to).
Most Romantic Restaurant in Austin to Soak Up History
If you want to soak up a little bit of historic charm, look no further than Mattie’s Austin. This restaurant is located within a historic farmhouse with a bit of romantic history of its own, one that will hopefully rub off on you if you choose to dine there this Valentine’s Day. Mattie’s website highlights their namesake’s history, a romantic era of bygone years when Henry and Mattie Faulk fell in love with the estate and moved in, way back in 1916. “Evenings were spent shucking corn and snap beans while enjoying the cool twilight,” reads their description. Talk about charm! You might not be shucking corn or snapping beans, but you can certainly enjoy the cool twilight. From its antique furnishings to farmhouse-inspired decor, Matties stays true to its storied history.
Most Romantic Restaurant in Austin for the Untraditional
There’s the kind of romantic dinner that is all starlight, starry eyes, and drippy candles. Then there’s the kind of romance that is straight out of a John Cusack movie. You know, the quirky kind with spilled spaghetti, neon proms, and an 80s style stereo. If this describes your idea of the perfect Valentine’s Day, well, Lucky Robot might just be the perfect restaurant for you. With its delicious sushi and its retro black, pink, and white interior design, it just screams fun. And who doesn’t want to have fun on Valentine’s Day?
Most Romantic Restaurant in Austin for a Phenomenal View
When it comes to restaurants, it can be difficult to find one with a fantastic view and fantastic food. Usually, when a dining establishment knows it can fill seats on the view alone, it slacks off on the food (and gets away with it). Tillery Kitchen is not guilty of this cardinal sin. With its stunning views of the Colorado River, the place oozes with romantic charm. The food stands up to the view too, no cheating on this one. It might not be as fancy and have the frills and bells of some of the other restaurants on this list, but honestly, it doesn’t need to. The view and flavors stand on their own.
That’s it for our round-up of our favorite romantic restaurants in Austin. We’ve done the research; all you have to do is make the booking (if you can still get one). Many of these restaurants book weeks in advance, and with limited capacity (and even closures) because of the pandemic, spaces are even more limited.
If you’ve found yourself stuck in a frustrating Valentine’s Day reservation hustle, we are here to save you from getting the evil eye from your date. We still have a few spaces open for the most luxurious Valentine’s dinner you’ve ever enjoyed. Think you, your date and 2 or more other people you love to hang with + a private artisan chef preparing an absolutely unforgettable meal in the comfort of your own home, and you’ve got the right idea. Scroll back up the page to check out the menu, which by the way, includes some of the most romantic foods in history. Why go out when the most romantic restaurant in Austin (at least for one night) is the place you call home sweet home?!
